178.         Levels of PFCAs in serum or plasma were measured in 11 repeated dose studies and in one developmental study and levels of PFSAs were measured in 13 repeated dose studies.

179.         Levels of PFCAs and PFSAs in males were typically higher than their female counterparts at the same dose levels, suggesting a sex-specific difference in plasma concentrations for certain PFAS and that males and females respond differently to exposure. These results will be evaluated further in subsequent papers considering the toxicokinetics of PFAS.
