Bio

Professor Coulson is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University. He is an Honorary Consultant Physician, Clinical Pharmacologist and Toxicologist to Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and to the National Poisons Information Service, Cardiff. His research interests include the management of poisoning; adverse drug reactions and cardiovascular disease. Professor Coulson is a Member of the Academy of Medical Education and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at Cardiff University. He is a co-opted member of the Advisory Panel on Substance Misuse for the Welsh Government.

Professor Coulson's appointment as a member of the COT expires on 31st March 2025.
