Bio

Ms Juliet Rix was appointed to the Committee on 1 April 2017 as a Public Interest Representative. Following a degree in Biological Natural Sciences and History of Art at Cambridge, she joined the BBC, working in television then radio, in the UK and as a foreign correspondent. She has since worked freelance for all of the ‘broadsheet’ national newspapers as well as various magazines, writing on subjects from health and family, to travel and the arts. Juliet has written two non-fiction books for adults and two fiction books for children. She has been a JP for ten years and sits on Fitness to Practice Tribunals for the Health and Care Professions Council. 

Ms Rix's appointment as a member of the COT expires on 31st March 2024.
