The Committee were also asked what advice, if any, should be given about the consumption of peanuts and peanut products by pregnant and lactating women, infants and young children. A Peanut Allergy Working Group was established and met for the first time in January 1997. A Report on Peanut Allergy was produced and published in June 1998.
