4. The development of new screening levels for contaminants in soil. TOX/2013/18
The Committee’s view is sought on a revised toxicological framework to aid the development of new screening levels for contaminated land risk assessment, following revisions to the relevant Statutory Guidance in 2012

5. Update on the review of infant feeding and allergy TOX/2013/19

The COT has been asked by the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) to provide advice on risks arising from the diet that are related to the development of atopic and autoimmune disease, in support of a review SACN are undertaking of UK Government recommendations on complementary and young child feeding. This paper provides an update on progress with this work and invites the Committee to discuss and agree the study protocols. This item is reserved business whilst the protocols are being reviewed and submitted for peer review

6. Third draft statement on the potential risks from high levels of vitamin A in infant diet TOX/2013/20
In contribution to the SACN review of UK Government recommendations on complementary and young child feeding, the COT is considering potential risks from high levels of vitamin A in the infant diet. The Committee is asked to comment on a third draft statement.

7. First draft statement on endosulfan isomers, pentachlorobenzene and chlordecone in relation to infant diet TOX/2013/21
In contribution to the SACN review of UK Government recommendations on complementary and young child feeding, the COT is considering potential risks from endosulfan isomers, pentachlorobenzene and chlordecone in the infant diet. The Committee is asked to comment on the text of the draft statement.

8. Third draft statement on the potential risks from high levels of aluminium in the infant diet TOX/2013/22
In contribution to the SACN review of UK Government recommendations on complementary and young child feeding, the COT is considering potential risks from high levels of aluminium in the infant diet. The Committee is asked to comment on a third draft statement.

9. GACS Working Group on data exploitation TOX/2013/23
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) General Advisory Committee on Science (GACS) has been asked to assist the FSA in exploring whether and how it might better exploit data by new methods of monitoring and data-mining. The Committee is provided with a draft GACS paper providing more information and invited to comment. The paper is a background/scoping document that is not in the public domain

10. Diet and Nutrition Survey of Infants and Young Children (DNSIYC) TOX/2013/24
The Committee is provided with information on this survey, which provides nationally representative data on the types and quantities of foods consumed by the 4 to 18 month age group, and was published in March 2013.
