Ms Alma Williams OBE BA

Free-Lance Author, writer and consultant on consumer affairs.

Ms Alma Williams is a free-lance author, writer and consultant on consumer affairs. Mrs Williams is involved in consumer affairs at both a national and an international level. She has been an active member of a number of UK consumer groups for many years and was a founder member of Foodaware. She is currently a vice president of the Consumers' Association and the Institute of Trading Standards. Ms Williams is an alternate member and expert member to the European Economic Social Committee and has served on a number of EU consumer committees. She is also vice president of the Eurosafe. Mrs Williams' appointment as a member of the Committee expires on 31 March 2010.
